Roles:
- data_manager_admin: Full access to policies
- data_manager_user: Can read and preview policies
Terms:
- Certification policy: Template that defines what data will be certified.
- Certification instance: Individual certification event (scheduled or manual)
- Certification task: Task assigned to certifiers to review records.
- Certifier: User responsible for certifying records.
Demo
After the brief introduction, the interesting stuff: a demo of Data Manager in the CMDB Workspace!
- Create a new policy to “Certify the IT app owner and contract end date” in the Business Application table.
- Schedule it.
- Assign certification tasks.
- Approve/decline.
- Monitor and report.
